The agreement
modgr.id is operated by modgrid LLC(“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between us and you when you use the site, create a page, or claim a handle. By doing any of those, you accept them. If you do not, do not use the service.
You need to be at least 13 years old to use modgr.id, and at least 18 to take money through it. If you are using it on behalf of a company, you are telling us you have the authority to accept these terms for it.
Your account
Accounts are handled by our authentication provider. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it.
One person, one account. Do not share an account, and do not create one on someone else’s behalf without their say-so.
Handles
Your handle is the address your page answers on. A few things follow from that:
- Handles are first come, first served, and a handful of words are reserved because they collide with parts of the site.
- A handle we are holding for you is held, not granted. It becomes yours when you claim it and make an account.
- We may reclaim a handle that impersonates someone, that was taken to resell, or that is dormant and clearly squatting a name someone else has a real claim to. We will contact you first wherever we can.
- Handles are not property and cannot be sold or transferred for money.
Your content
Your photos, your builds, your words and your numbers stay yours. We do not claim ownership of anything you put on your page.
To be able to run the service we need your permission to do the obvious things with it: store it, resize it, cache it, and show it to whoever opens your page — including in the preview card that appears when your link is shared. That permission is worldwide and royalty-free, it exists only so the product can work, and it ends when you delete the content or your page, except for copies already sitting in backups or in someone else’s cache.
We may also show your page — its name, photo and handle — as an example of what modgr.id looks like, on the site itself or when we talk about the product. If you would rather we did not, email us and we will stop.
You are telling us you have the right to post what you post. If a photo of your car was taken by someone else, that is between you and them, and it needs to be settled before it goes on your page.
Pages we build for you
Some creators first meet modgr.id as a page we have already built, from material that was already public, and sent them a private link to. Those pages are not indexed by search engines and are not advertised anywhere.
A page like that is a proposal, not a fact about you. Until you claim it, it belongs to us and we will take it down on request — one email is enough, and you do not have to explain why. Once you claim it, the page and everything on it is yours under the section above.
Links, codes and money
Part links on your page may be affiliate links. Where a program exists and you are in it, the commission is paid to you by that program under their terms, not by us. We are not a party to it, and we cannot make a merchant pay you.
A sponsor code you negotiated is yours and we take none of it. Whatever a brand agreed with you is between you and the brand.
Any earnings figure the site shows you is an estimate produced by a model, not a forecast and not a promise. Do not sign anything on the strength of one.
Where you are advertising — an affiliate link, a paid partnership, a gifted part — disclosing it is your responsibility, and in most places it is also the law.
What you may not do
- Post content you do not have the rights to, or that is illegal, hateful, sexual, or built to harass someone.
- Impersonate another creator, a brand, or us.
- Sell counterfeit parts, or link to a store you know sells them.
- Inflate your own numbers, or anyone else’s — automated views, clicks or code copies, whatever the tool.
- Scrape the site, hammer it with requests, or work around the limits and gates that are there to keep it up.
- Resell or rent the service to someone else as if it were yours.
Beta, changes and downtime
modgr.id is early. Features will change, some will be removed, and things will occasionally break. We will not pretend otherwise. We do not promise any particular uptime, and we may change or discontinue parts of the service — though if we are going to remove something you rely on, we will tell you before we do it rather than after.
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and email accounts it affects. Carrying on using the service after that is how you accept the new version.
Fees
Your page, your links, your garage and the parts you tag are free. Creator Pro is a paid subscription — billed monthly or yearly through Stripe, and it renews on its own until you cancel it. What each tier carries, and what it costs, is on the plan screen in your studio.
Creators we invited early keep the rate they joined on for as long as they stay subscribed. If we change what Pro costs, we will tell you before it reaches you.
Cancel whenever you like: Pro runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and cancelling is what stops the next one. We do not refund periods you have started, and we do not charge you to leave.
If you stop paying, your page stays up and it stays yours. You lose the paid features, not your link — a bio link that dies over a billing decision punishes your audience for something they had no part in. Be aware that the Pro settings themselves reset when Pro ends: your theme goes back to the default and link effects switch off. Subscribing again gives you the controls back rather than the look you had.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like, and that takes your page down with it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts the service or other people at risk, or that we are required to act on by law. Except where something is plainly deliberate or urgent, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it first.
Copyright complaints
If something on modgr.id infringes your copyright, email support@modgr.id with the URL, what the work is, proof you own it or act for whoever does, and a way to reach you. We will look at it, and we remove infringing material when a complaint stands up. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.
If your material was removed and you think that was wrong, reply to us and say why. We would rather get it right than be quick.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost revenue. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and some places do not allow these exclusions — in which case they simply do not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Baltimore, Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
